Collection: Azilal Rugs
The Azilal Rugs - originally made by women from the Azilal province tribes in Morocco - are traditionally horizontally handwoven with a grid and a line of knots, which makes them less dense than the Beni Ourain rug, but no less soft or comfortable.
The rugs were produced for domestic purposes only, which gave the weavers freedom to express themselves strongly and create something that caters for their own interior.
Today, these standout pieces are everywhere and appreciated Internationally for what they can add either to walls or floors, by giving a character to the space.
